TERM APPOINTMENTS:
This position is TERM not to exceed 13 months, with provisions to extend, in one year increments, up to a maximum of 8 years with provisions to be made permanent without further competition. To be eligible for conversion to a permanent career-conditional or career appointment, you must have:

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized experience required for GS-11:
Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as:
Assisting in surveys of an ammunition plant or storage depot; Monitoring a manufacturing ammunition quality program; Preparing quality assurance reports or letters, This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For the GS-11, you may qualify if your education meets the definitions below. Education Substitution for Specialized Experience for GS-11:
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three (3) full years of progressively higher level graduate education with a major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or other fields related to the position, leading to such a degree, or completion of all requirements for an LL.M., if related, from an accredited college or university. (Transcripts are required with your application). Combination of Experience and Education Substitution for Specialized Experience for GS-11:
If you have some, but not all, of the experience or education described above, you may still qualify by combining the amount of creditable experience and education that you possess. To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualify experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education in excess of 36 hours (total semester hours minus 36 ) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify you for that grade level. Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used for qualifications. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
