Systems Engineer

Job Description: Provide good individual contributions to the overall performance and availability of wide-area and local-area networks for the corporation. This position entails intermediate to strong contributor type activities within the networking and communications group focusing on the ability to independently support project and task activities for maintaining and improving the security, performance, availability, and recoverability of the corporation's networking and communications infrastructure, especially concerning network devices, network software, communications provider services, and all data connectivity. Demonstrates skills beyond entry-level LAN/WAN engineer to intermediate level skills and expert level in some areas in completing individual, team and organization goals. The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess: Must have Cisco networking experience including routing/switching, Windows Server 2016 and VMWare System Administration. Minimum of a CCNA certification, CCNP, Network+ or above is preferred Knowledge or have worked with Cisco ISE, VMware and Windows Servers. What You'll Be Doing: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with Cisco/HPE Network switches, Cisco UCS Servers, Vmware vSphere, Windows Server and NetApp Storage Arrays. Actively participate in the implementation of systems, infrastructure and related network and communications hardware for the enterprise. Ability to provide intermediate level support all IT network and communications hardware and software infrastructure for the corporation. Develop and document procedures for routine operations including troubleshooting, support, and administration. Analyzes network, server, and storage systems and recommends upgrades/changes; Provide testing and performance analysis of network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements. Perform system upgrades and incorporate new technologies to the infrastructure minimizing effects on the user experience, working nights and weekends as necessary. Maintain systems / network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshootingnetwork problems; escalating problems to vendor. Coordinate wiring and equipment installations at two sites using various data communication vendors and remote site staff. Research, select, and coordinate the best data broadband or IP data communications options for remote office and corporate connectivity. What You Need To Bring To The Table: Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred 1 to 3+ years of industry experience in installation, configuration and support of networking communications hardware and software. Experience with Cisco routers and switches. Experience with HPE/Procurve/Aruba networking, NetApp storage arrays and telecommunications equipment would be beneficial. Intermediate or higher expertise in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting LAN/WAN devices, Windows Servers, VMware vSphere, and all data networking communications. Intermediate or higher abilities and expertise in support of Cisco switches, routers, access devices, and related communications protocols, especially TCPIP and WAN communications. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
